Jeder Mensch ist zutiefst kreativ.
Rick Rubin stellt in seinem Buch „Kreativ. Die Kunst zu sein.“ Fragen, gibt Hinweise, erzählt von seiner Entwicklung und von seiner Überzeugung, dass jeder Mensch ein zutiefst kreativer ist. Denn, so Rubin, wir alle haben einen ganz starken inneren Antrieb. Auch diejenigen, die sich nicht als Künstler:in verstehen.
“Zu Beginn eines neuen Projekts haben wir es häufig mit Ängsten zu tun. Sie befallen uns fast ausnahmslos, egal, wie erfahren, erfolgreich oder vorbereitet wir sind.” (Rick Rubin)
Dieses Buch ist die beinahe meditative Ermutigung, dass Ängste, nicht als Ent-, sondern als Ermutigung begriffen werden dürfen. Es ist eine Einladung, beharrlich zu sein, bei dem was man tut, fleißig, gleichermaßen entspannt und offen für Unerwartetes – vor allem neugierig.

2024: Mut machen, mitmachen!
Wir möchten auch im neuen Jahr Mut machen, die Idee des Grundeinkommens weiter zu entdecken. Dazu
nutzen wir das "Mut-Modul" aus dem Ausstellungsprojekt "Mensch,
Grundeinkommen!", das in 2023 erstmalig erfolgreich zum Einsatz kam und
vielen Menschen Ermutigung und Freude mitgegeben hat:

Mit unseren bisherigen Mitteln können wir in 2024 nur wenige Einsätze realisieren. Für weitere Einsätze benötigen wir vielfältige Unterstützung. Seid ihr dabei? Wir suchen Menschen,
- die den Transporter fahren und den Transport mit Be- und Entladen in die Hand nehmen können, im Raum Hamburg oder auch für Fern-Einsätze, z.B. in die Schweiz oder nach Großbritannien,
- die die Einsätze unterstützen, beim Auf- und Abbau oder im Kontakt mit den Besucherinnen und Besuchern, im Raum Hamburg oder irgendwo in Europa.
- die die Einsätze medial begleiten, besonders mit Videoproduktionen und Social Media-Aktionen,
- die in unser Stammteam einsteigen und die Planung, Logistik, Finanzierung und Weiterentwicklung verantwortlich mitgestalten,
- die das Projekt finanziell neu oder stärker unterstützen, denn ein Einsatz kostet zwischen 300 und 1500 EUR für die Logistik.

Deutscher Kinder- und Jugendhilfepreis
Die Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Kinder- und Jugendhilfe (AGJ) hat die Ausschreibung für den Deutschen Kinder- und Jugendhilfepreis 2026 gestartet. Der Preis wird alle zwei Jahre vergeben und zählt zu den wichtigsten Auszeichnungen in der Kinder- und Jugendhilfe in Deutschland.
In diesem Jahr ist der Praxispreis themengebunden und widmet sich dem Schwerpunkt „Demokratiebildung und Demokratieförderung in der Kinder- und Jugendhilfe“. Gesucht werden Praxisprojekte, die zeigen, wie demokratische Teilhabe auch unter schwierigen gesellschaftlichen Bedingungen gestärkt werden kann.
Der Preis wird in drei Kategorien vergeben:
- Praxispreis – für Projekte zum Thema „Demokratiebildung und Demokratieförderung“
- Theorie- und Wissenschaftspreis – für herausragende wissenschaftliche Arbeiten zur Kinder- und Jugendhilfe
- Medienpreis – für journalistische Beiträge, die die Lebenswelt junger Menschen realitätsnah und differenziert darstellen
In jeder Kategorie ist ein Preisgeld von 4.000 Euro ausgelobt. Zusätzlich kann ein Anerkennungspreis in Höhe von 1.000 Euro vergeben werden.
Antragsberechtigt sind Fachkräfte, Träger, Wissenschaftler:innen sowie Medienschaffende, je nach eingereichter Kategorie.
Die Bewerbungsfrist endet am 10. Oktober 2025. Eine Bewerbung ist sowohl online als auch postalisch möglich.

Biodegradable plastic is often seen as a very environmentally friendly alternative to plastic. But it is often not so biodegradable as you may think.
Thank you for sharing your views. It has been known for a while that so-called bio-degradable material is not necessarily what one assumes. A basic and often forgotten fact is that all material, both man-made and otherwise, are degradable. It is more of a question of how long it takes for such a change - even uranium will degrade to lead.
Bio-degradable plastic follows a similar trajectory, given the right conditions for that particular composition, the plastic will degrade. What is often forgotten is that these conditions may not always be present. On the other hand, if we did not have certain conditions, we would not be in a position to recover artefacts from this planet.
The question(s) we need to ask ourselves is the following: What are we planning to achieve with this new material, what is the effort required to get this material and what do we plan to do, when this material no longer serves its purpose?
Using an analogy here: Humans have phases in their lives and, today, these are considered to be productive or non-productive (there is no judgment or evaluation on my part here). Productivity is a human term, it is not the same as evolution.
Instead of focussing on the technical evaluation of bio-degradability of plastic, we could consider the effect our need for packaging - whichever form it takes - has on the environment and fellow human beings. That is because packaging is often a convenience.

Thank you for adding your views to this Prith! The plastic issue is a very important topic, which we can look at from different points of view and you mentioned several. Some can be picked up by customers (e.g. do I buy products with packaging?) and others by producers (e.g. what do we want to achieve with this new material). It shows to me again that we can all make a difference.
