I am sharing a great opportunity for everyone who would is interested in embarking on an internationalisation journey with your social venture! 

As part of the #ESESII project, we are pleased to invite you to join the training on How to Internationalise your Social Enterprise that will be hosted online on 28-30 November 2022. During the three half-day events, you will have the opportunity to discuss your internationalisation journey as a social enterprise together with experts in the field coming from different organisations all over Europe. Our trainers from Synthesis (Cyprus), SIA (Austria), WU Vienna (Austria), MateraHub (Italy), Leipzig University (Germany) and Euclid Network (The Netherlands) will share best practices to solve common problems, help you develop your internationalisation strategy, grow your international team and boost your social networking skills. The training will focus on the following overarching themes:

3. Navigating intercultural challenges

Local wealth means more than economic prosperity in cities. By adding social value to public procurement practices, money recirculates among empowered and collaborative communities, labour opportunities and conditions are improved, and the carbon footprint would be reduced. What strategies could be adopted to reach these outcomes? This workshop will revise key activities, tools and actors for understanding strategic procurement as an opportunity for the generation of local wealth rather than a technical bureaucratic process based mainly on monetary criteria.

Matthew Baqueriza-Jackson is an expert on strategic procurement with more than 12 years of experience in the field. He is currently an independent policy advisor, chair of the Greater Manchester Social Value Network (GMSVN) and representative of URBACT in the EU Urban Agenda Partnership on Responsible and Innovative Public Procurement. He is also a former Deputy Chief Executive of the Centre for Local Economic Strategies (CLES) and helped to devise the Community Wealth Building agenda in the United Kingdom context.

Do you have an idea for a social* initiative, project, business, or educational project? Would you like to learn about trends and organizational forms that evolved in the era of digitalization? Would you like to gain knowledge and skills and network with other social projects from Belarus and Germany? Are you looking for some selected, trusted, and preferably free tools for your mission in the middle of unlimited digital communication?

Experienced social entrepreneurs, NGO workers, and digital teachers from Belarus, Germany, and the UK can help you on your way! Learn about new communication techniques and knowledge sharing in your team or external communication with your target group or clients, existing and potential supporters, public or international partners. Learn to use these tools mindfully.

Use them for the benefit of your project and get some constructive feedback from peers and experts.

Are you an early-stage woman founder navigating the challenges of entrepreneurship? I would love to hear from you! A short survey (just 15 minutes) explores mental health challenges, coping strategies and the impact of gender disparities on well-being. Your insights will not only support @Grace - Accelerator for Female Entrepreneurship (https://www.grace-accelerator.de/home.html), the development of future projects for women entrepreneurs and the academic field, but will also contribute to my bachelor’s thesis research on this critical topic. All responses are fully anonymised!

Who Can Participate?

• Female-identifying founders or co-founders
• Early-stage ventures (pre-revenue to one year post-market)

A guest speaker at a seminar we recently facilitated shared his own definition of VUCA: “Having a Vision, knowing your USP (unique selling proposition), taking Chances, and having Ambition.”

Being aware that the world we live in is increasingly complex is one thing. It is quite another thing to live the strategies and practices to respond to it at an individual, team and organisational level. We explore the latter in our workshop: How can we bridge our vision and purpose with our daily work? How can we identify risks and opportunities in what can sometimes feel an overwhelming environment? And how can we bring our unique strengths to the process? 

Join us on Zoom for a free workshop on “Leadership in a changing and complex world”. Over 90 minutes we will:

• explore tools and models from systems thinking to make sense of a changing and complex world, 

• learn about practices and tips that you can use yourself and in your team on a daily or regular basis,

• invite you to share your own experiences and hear from others from around the world.

This workshop also provides an opportunity to learn more about what Unity Effect offers in the areas of leadership development, organisational learning, and regenerative measurement and evaluation. 

This is a free, public workshop. We especially welcome those working in purpose- and vision-driven organisations, such as foundations, development agencies, social enterprises or impact networks. Whether you’re a leader, team member, or simply curious to explore the topic, we invite you to join us — and would love to learn from your experiences too!

You don’t need any prior knowledge to attend the workshop. Just bring your curiosity, and ideally join us from somewhere you can speak during breakouts.

Wir suchen derzeit Unterstützung im Bereich Marketing und Networking mit einem Fokus auf Social Media (insbesondere Instagram und TikTok). Wir suchen eine kommunikative, extrovertierte und offene Person, die Spaß daran hat, eine Online-Community aufzubauen.

Dir sollte es Freude bereiten, Videos und Fotos zu machen, Texte zu schreiben und diese regelmäßig als Posts hochzuladen. Deiner Kreativität sind dabei keine Grenzen gesetzt. Du wirst auch bei unseren kommenden Retreats unterstützend dabei sein und diese in Videos und Fotos festhalten. Selbstverantwortliches Arbeiten ist uns wichtig: Du bist verantwortlich für deinen Bereich und kannst selber Entscheidungen treffen. Wir arbeiten gerne ortsunabhängig und flexibel und wünschen uns, dass das zu deiner Arbeitsweise passt. Um uns auszutauschen und uns gegenseitig auf dem Laufenden zu halten, treffen wir uns gerne in unregelmäßigen Abständen.

Für unsere Zusammenarbeit ist es vorteilhaft, wenn du MacOS User bist und Photoshop und Lightroom beherrschst.

Da wir zur Zeit noch in der Aufbauphase sind, können wir aktuell noch kein festes Gehalt anbieten. Die Tätigkeit ist zunächst als Ehrenamt angesetzt, bei veranstalteten Retreats ist eine Gewinnbeteiligung vorgesehen. Mit dem Erfolg von Purpose Retreats wird ein regelmäßiges Einkommen möglich sein.

Uns ist wichtig, dass alle Teammitglieder in erster Linie unsere Werte und unsere Vision teilen: Wir sehen in der Selbstreflexion und der Auseinandersetzung mit Spiritualität die größten Potenziale für persönliche Weiterentwicklung.
