Maik Martin

I am a highly communicative and passionate 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿. Positivity, sustainability & working collectively on solutions which help facing the biggest challenges on our planet is what I am dedicated to.

👨‍💻Throughout my career I worked in 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 for market leading brands. I had the pleasure to build up lovely and authentic brands, but also to market and sell well established brands strategically. What always hindered me in unlocking my full potential was the lack of self-determination and the deeper meaning behind the work I did. Consequentely, I 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝘆 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 for half a year to think about what I really want to do and work on social projects for a while.

🌎Other cultures, languages and traveling always inspired me. I can say that I am absolutely privileged to have the choice to decide on what I want to do and for how long and where – a lot of people tend to forget this! During my time in a surfer hostel in Colombia, I 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 when locals were losing their homes due to rising sea levels and there was plastic pollution everywhere. This is where my motivation for social entrepreneurship and concrete ideas fighting climate change within a business context grew.

🌱𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗢𝗞𝗢, 𝘄𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁. We believe that giving transparency about our consumption, giving easy solutions to take action and the collective approach is the biggest leverage to fight Climate Change.
